Privacy Policy — Freedial
Last updated: 23 October 2026
Freedial does not collect, sell or share personal data. There are no analytics and no account.
What is stored, and where
- Your speed dials and groups are ordinary Chrome bookmarks in Other bookmarks › Freedial. If you turn on Chrome sync, Google syncs them like any other bookmark.
- Preferences are stored in Chrome's synced extension storage.
- Images you upload, page screenshots, visit counts, tasks, notes, calendar links, daily backups, cached weather and calendar data, and your licence key stay only in your browser.
- On this server: a hash of activated licence keys and, if a purchase is refunded or disputed, a flag marking that key revoked. Server logs keep IP addresses for a few minutes for rate limiting.
Network requests the extension makes
- freedial.epitchi.com — only with a Pro licence: the key once at activation, then once a day an opaque hash of it to confirm it is still valid.
- www.google.com/s2/favicons — the address of each site whose logo is shown on a tile.
- fonts.googleapis.com — only if you choose a Google Font.
- Open-Meteo (api.open-meteo.com, geocoding-api.open-meteo.com) — only with the weather widget on: the city you chose.
- Your calendar provider — the private iCal address you paste, fetched directly.
- The page you bookmark — only when you add it or ask for a page capture, to read its title and take a screenshot.
What the extension reads with its permissions (bookmarks, tabs, recently closed tabs, the page you save) never leaves your browser. Group sharing puts the group's titles and addresses inside the link itself, after #, which browsers do not send to any server.
Payments
Payments are processed by Creem, the merchant of record. Freedial never sees your card. Creem's privacy policy covers the payment.
